My First Day At Chapcha MSS
My First Day At Chapcha Middle Secondary School.
My first day at Chapcha Middle Secondary School was not just about school—it was also my first time staying in a boarding. I was both excited and nervous because I had never stayed away from home before. I kept wondering, "Will I make friends? Will the food be okay? Will I miss home?"
When I reached the school, the teachers and some senior students helped me carry my bag to the hostel. I was surprised to see how many students were already there, unpacking and arranging their things. My roommate gave me a big smile and helped me feel welcome. That made me feel less scared.
In the hostel, everything was new to me—the dormitory, the daily routine, and even the bathroom rules! We had a hostel matron who told us the rules kindly and made sure everyone was settled. I tried to arrange my bed neatly, but my bedsheet kept slipping off! We all laughed, and slowly, I started feeling like I belonged there.
At dinner time, I was worried about the food, but to my surprise, it was tasty. We all sat together like one big family, sharing stories and laughing.
That night, when I lay in my bed, I missed my home a little, but I also felt proud. I had made it through my first day in boarding. I had new friends, kind teachers, and a new place to call my second home. I knew the days ahead would not always be easy, but I was ready for the journey.
